I think having a visual journal is very helpful and beneficial. Not only does it help you plan out what you are going to do to complete your project, it also helps you remember what you did on certain projects to use for future reference. Planning out your project in advance prevents you from running into a lot of road blocks while you are creating your piece. The only con of using a visual journal is that it is time consuming but in the end I think it is worth it.

I think having a visual journal is very important b/c its vey helpful. Making a plan in your journal is very important, like drawing out what you want to make and to help you go along with it also. It helps you keep up with you work. The only con in using or having a journal is coming up with one idea before starting and then end up changing your mind while working, like wanting to do a whole different idea. Having a journal lets you think to yourself what you want to do and coming up with a well thought out plan so you know what your doing and not messing up b/c you can always go back and see what your whole purpose was in making your project.

It is very important to keep a visual journal because it allows you to have well thought out plans. This makes it easier to see your mistakes before you even begin. By keeping a visual journal you aware of what your making, how much clay youll need, what tools etc. It is a very good idea to keep a visual journal.

Being organized is a life long good quality to have . Being organized is part of being responsible and if you're responsible it makes things so much easier . Keeping a visual journal is important for you to improve upon yourself as an artist. It allows you to plan out projects before you begin making them. It also is a place to record techniques and glazes you used on pieces, so that you can come back to them in the future if you ever want to recreate that effect. However, it will take up valuable time to write all of these things down. I personally believe that it is worth it, but I know that I will have a hard time remembering to write things down. I am the kind of person to just make it as I go and not plan out the piece.

I think having a visual journal is very important because you can record your ideas and have a step by step plan when making your projects. You can also record what glazes you have used to use for future projects. Whatever, it takes time and extra effort during class.

Keeping a visual journal is very beneficial because you need to have an idea in mind before starting to build your piece. This journal can be beneficial when it comes to recording glazes that you've used on previous pieces so you know exactly what you put on that piece. It is also great to look back on sketches to see how your piece has evolved from the original plan because you think of so many great ideas when building your piece. The biggest challenge I face with a visual journal is being able to draw out the exact image of what I want my piece to look like in my mind. Also, I am always so eager to build and I feel like this takes a lot of time out of my building while trying to come up with a sketch while also following a tedious deadline.

Keeping a visual journal is important because it plans out your project. This prevents you from wasting your time and materials. It helps you to become a more efficient artist. Just like when you write an essay for English class, you need to create an outline or brainstorm ideas. The cons of having a visual journal is the time it takes. Most people want to just jump right into a project, but having a plan will save you time in the long run.

Keeping a visual journal is important for many reasons. It allows your to put your thoughts on paper, plan your project better, and lets others (like your teacher) see your visions so you can collaborate ideas together. I find that there are more pros in keeping a visual journal, but one con is that it can be time consuming. Depending on how detailed your teacher wants your drawings, it could really cut into your actual work time for your project. Overall, I think that everyone should at least sketch their projects/ideas to keep track of things.

I think that keeping a visual journal or sketch book is very important for a few reasons. First if there's aver a point in your project where your stuck you can just go look at your sketch book for help. Also if your working on multiple projects and you forget what glaze you put on a piece from a week ago you can go back and look in your sketch book so you always know what glaze you used. Finally if you ever mess up while you trying to build a piece you can take notes so that way you can know what to do next time you try to re create that piece.

I think that keeping a visual journal is important because you can use it to put down ideas and new ideas. A pro to a visual journal is that you can go back and add new parts/ pieces you envision on your piece to see if it works and how it will add to the project. A con is that your original idea may be changed or altered in a way that you may not like, so this will make it more of a hassle when you have to change a part of your project. A challenge I have with this is that it can be a little tedious if you have to keep coming back to change/add something if it doesn't work in your project.

Keeping a visual journal is very important because it helps you visualize what your piece will eventually look like. It's also great to help you remember what glazes you used and what pieces you used them on and what you possibly mixed them with. The only "downside" to keeping a visual journal is you may decide to change your piece up a little and not go by your sketch but it's okay!

I think keeping a visual journal is very important. It helps keep you organized and so if later on you can't remember something you can always go back and look at what you have written. Also, it allows you to plan far ahead in advance for your next project. It's always a good idea to keep everything written down.

Keeping a visual journal helps me profoundly throughout pottery. I am able to sketch out my ideas and have a solid plan before I start with clay. When I dont have a plan in mind beforehand I tend to "wing it" which causes my piece to not look as good or even remotely close to how I want it. The only problem I have with keeping a journal is sometimes I forget to refer back to my journal and look over my sketch while usuing the clay.

The good thing about having a visual journal is that u can keep track of everything your doing. Also from the drawings and different thing you put in your journal you can follow while building your project. It's something to look at rather than just it come straight from your head.
