Stephen King is an author of supernatural fiction. What do you think he means when he says "you can" and "you should"?
In what ways are you not brave when it comes to creating pieces with clay? In what ways have you become brave by doing the work in this class? Respond thoughtfully.

I think he means you can do what ever you want to do as long has to put your mind to it. You should do it if that's what you want. I have recently try to make a 3D portrait something that I'm not good at and I know. But I have tried and I still have not succeed. In the beginning it was coming together great but towards the end I thought it's was a disaster.

I think he means that anything you want to do you can as long as you believe in yourself and put your mind to it. Some of my fears in pottery are using too much clay and not being able to control it or not being successful in buliding or throwing. I have become brave in this class by actually following the guidelines and not worrying about size and my piece being too large and blowing up or cracking or even looking bad.

I think he is trying to say, you can do anything you want if you out your mind to it and stick with it. Some of my fears in pottery from starting in pottery 1 to now I feel I have grown as an artist because trying new things scares me because I don't want my work to be messed up. I think i have overcome a lot of my fears from using glazes and trying new things.

What he's saying is, you should try new things because you can always do what you set your mind to do. in pottery I've tried a lot of many new things and things sometimes work and sometimes they don't but if I keep doing it it should end up working in the end

I think he's saying you never know what you are capable of doing until you try it. I know I am not brace when it comes to glazing, because I have to know the outcome of what it looks like 100% before I glaze something.

I think he means that we can do anything we set our mind to and we should do stuff we set our mind to. When it comes to pottery, I am quick to say I can't do something but I prove myself wrong in the end. I just wasn't sure of the proper way. It isn't so much for me about being scared to do stuff with clay as it is glazing pieces... I am nervous to try new things such as dry brush, or ombré, because I'm scared of the end result. I have gotten racer with the types of projects I choose to do. I could never have seen myself doing some of the projects that I'm currently doing a few months ago.

I believe that King is saying not to be afraid. He is saying that you should take risks. If you think there is a possibility that you can do something, then do it. You have to test, challenge, and push yourself. I think that in class, I am too careful sometimes, because I am afraid I'll mess up my work. I am getting better at this though, and in turn, I am creating better art.

I feel that he is saying that anything we think we can do we should do even if I means stepping outside of our comfort zone, trying new things and being brave I also feel sometimes I'm not quite as rave as I can Because it afraid of making mistakes

I think by him saying that "you can" is him saying you can do what ever you want if you put your mind to it and by him saying "you should" is him saying you should do it if that's what you really want and not letting anything stop you. When it comes to clay my biggest fear is messing up because I hate the feeling of me putting everything into a piece and me having to start over on it.

When she said that if you can you should, I think that it means that if you have the ability to, you should give it a try. This applies to art because challenging yourself is the only way to grow as an artist. I am brave when making pottery pieces because I challenge myself to the point where I think I may not be able to pull it off but I know that I can do it even if I hate the grueling process by the end. It is worth it when the piece is unique and complicated.
